as waxing is still rather new in our part of the world we have summarized some of the most frequently asked questions.

What happens behind the closed door?
When you enter the treatment room, Fluff waxing therapist will explain to you which parts of clothing to remove depending on the type of wax treatment you are having. There is a clean towel for you to cover yourself with. Your therapist will come back in and explain to you what will happen. First she will disinfect the area you are having waxed, dust you with some powder or oil if required and wax the area requested. Once this is done she will advice you on how to look after the treated area and that's it; No More Fluff!
what is a brazilian bikini wax?
Brazilian waxing, or sometimes called Hollywood or Bikini, refers to hair removal on the "below there area". To some people it means removing all the hair from the bikini area, and to others it means removing everything but for a strip or a design in the front.  How much you wax is a personal preference and you should do whatever makes you comfortable, whether it's a daring bare look, a more natural look, or something in between.
why do people do this?
It allows women to comfortably wear revealing swimwear and lingerie. It can also spice up activities that go on "in private". Mainly it gives a cleaner and neater look. Woman use it to surprise their husbands or boyfriends and a popular anniversary wax is in the shape of a heart.
does it hurt?
When waxing is mentioned, this should not start thoughts of excruciating pain but it should be a comfy experience with superb results. Our professional therapists are there to give you just that and do it with great speed to boot. When all is done we even whip out the tweezers, to make sure everything looks top notch and no "strays" are left. In the shop you can buy various after wax and maintenance products.

what if I am really going to freak out?
Fluff now offers you the choice of Anesthetic Numbing spray, which makes your wax a walk in the park.
how long will the results last?
After your first Fluff wax, the results can last 3 to 6 weeks depending on the individual hair re-growth rate. In most cases, hair growth is minimal during the first week or two and noticeably increases in the third and fourth week.  With regular waxing the length of time between treatments becomes longer which means we will see less of you at Fluff. Waxing also reduces the amount of hair that grows back.
what are the possible side effects of waxing and how can it be minimized?
Although Fluff can not predict or guarantee who may react, most clients do not experience reactions beyond redness and minor irritation. Hair may break at the root during waxing which can cause some hairs to grow out faster, but you can easily remove these yourself with a pair of tweezers.
As Fluff uses the "no double dipping" policy hygiene is guaranteed.

what should I not do after a wax?
Avoid the sun immediately for the next 12 hours and wear sun screen if possible. Recently waxed areas are prone to hyper pigmentation (permanent darkening of the skin) if exposed to the sun. Avoid heavy exercise as the sweat might cause some irritation and do not go into a pool, take a hot bath or shower for at least 12 hours (tepid is fine). Do not use exfoliating products and loofas for at least 48 hours after waxing as they might further irritate your skin.
how long does my hair have to be before I can get a wax?
A quarter of an inch is minimal.
what should I do until my next wax to reduce hair growth?
Regular exfoliation with our amazing Fluff Scrub-a-licious is helpful to remove dead skin and avoid ingrown hairs.
